When I look back at a year ago I am amazed at how much I have grown as a person through writing this blog.
A year ago, I was deep in depression and battling anxiety when I felt the nudge to start this blog. I "argued" with God and had a bunch of excuses as to why I couldn't do it. Most of them included me doubting my ability to write or having anything to say.
I took a leap of faith and chose to obey God. He used writing as a tool to help heal me. Anytime he would give me a topic to write about, it encouraged me as well. Writing helped me remember things about being a mom that I truly enjoyed. It helped me see who I am as a person also.
This summer I took a position with Classical Conversations and the learning process has taken up a lot of my blogging time. I was starting to feel like maybe I was suppose to stop blogging. I gave it to God in prayer and he came back with this word
I knew it was God because that is not a word that I would ever use in everyday language.
I began to research this word and found some interesting facts
- Steadfast is used 219 in the Bible with 132 times being in the book of Psalms.
- Steadfast is followed by the word love 200 times in the Bible.
The word steadfast is used to describe God's love for us. This means his love is sure, dependable, reliable, constant, and unwavering.
Praise the Lord!
This month we'll be writing about God's steadfast love for us and the blessing of having steadfast devotion to him.
I'm praying blessings over you and your family!
